The Aesthetic Society Presidential Update

Time flies! We are 3 months into my presidency and the spirit of "energy and team" is propelling us to a reimagined direction: to adapt to a new aesthetic environment. Our Allied Pro program is spreading its roots and attracting new members. We now have a newly formed committee dedicated to this project under the leadership of Drs. Chris Surek and Sachin Shridharani. Our featured injectable virtual course "Behind the Syringe: Beauty of lnjectables" promises to be an exciting and innovative meeting with faculty from across the entire aesthetic spectrum. This course, featuring live injections, will be held January 11, 2025. Please join me by signing up members of your staff, both front and back office, and members of your medical spa, for this prestigious category of membership in The Aesthetic Society.

As promised, we are reimagining the delivery of our education. Our newly developed Aesthetic Society Academy transforms the way you learn. On-Demand surgical and nonsurgical education is designed with your success in mind. This dynamic online academy was developed to empower you with the latest advancements in clinical and aesthetic education. The Academy is available to plastic surgeons and AlliedPro members. Lastly, I just returned from The Aesthetic Cruise, the secret gem in our education portfolio. It was my wife's and my first time on a cruise and this one did not disappoint. The cruise took us through 11 cities in 5 countries along the Mediterranean. It was the perfect combination of education with top-tier faculty and lots of fun both on and off the ship. I would like to thank Drs. Tim Papadopoulos and Kristi Hustak for chairing this incredible program. My wife, Niloo, and I cannot wait to join our colleagues on the next cruise scheduled for the Summer of 2026.

I would like to end with a "fun" fact (or some may say "crazy") about me. As you may know, personal health is very important to me. As the president-elect and now president, I pledged to run in every city where I travel; The Aesthetic Cruise presented a new challenge since we visited a new city each day! Despite the heat and logistics, I ran 11 consecutive days for 58 cumulative miles! That's something I have never done before.

Stay strong and healthy my friends. Together we are stronger. Your president.

Sincerely,

The beautiful Fall is here and it's time for pumpkins and creative Halloween costumes. For The Aesthetic Society, this has been the year of reimagination and we've continued to reinvent both our internal and external processes to set ourselves up for success in the new aesthetic landscape.
I am incredibly proud to be President of the rebranded, The Aesthetic Foundation! Like I said at the Business Meeting in Vancouver, Caroline Glicksman certainly set me up for success with all the progress of her year, and I know working with President-Elect, Pat McGuire, and the whole Foundation Board will lead to another year of growth and impact on our specialty.
