Global Alliance for Women Leaders in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Background
The Global Alliance for Women Leaders in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery was founded in May 2022 to bring together female leaders in aesthetic plastic surgery around the world by The Aesthetic Society under the direction of its first female president, Dr. Jennifer Walden. We are devoted to providing a forum for leaders of aesthetic plastic surgery organizations around the world to network and collaborate with the goal of expanding our community of those who are fully empowered to break through barriers and forge new pathways to enhance our coveted specialty.
The initial focus is on meeting both virtually and in-person quarterly in order to hold roundtable discussions with moderation so that the entire global plastic surgery audience, including those in training, can access and benefit from the education and leadership of this group. We also do this to help elucidate pathways to leadership for others who aspire, and to enhance global communication on matters within our specialty. Our goal is to empower ALL plastic surgeons who aspire to develop their natural abilities to their fullest potential and equip them to excel as leaders within the profession and in their own communities.
Mission Statement
The Global Alliance for Women Leaders in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery is dedicated to the strategic organization of women leaders within the field of aesthetic plastic surgery to create and maintain an environment that recognizes, cultivates, and utilizes the talent of its community.
