Dysport & Juvederm Voluma injected under eyes before lower eyelid (Blepharoplasty) surgery
Need a little help or advice... My plastic surgeon had injected Dysport & Juvederm Voluma under my eyes 3 weeks before my surgery and now it's not healing. I have huge amounts of swelling and blood in there. I have been on steroids and had steroid injections. This is 2 years already. What would be causing the constant fluid and blood to keep pooling under my eyes. Any suggestions??
Without an examination, it is difficult to know what could be causing your ongoing swelling. If you are 2 years post surgery and injections you should be at a stable result. The Dysport and Voluma should be gone by now. If you are unable to get a satisfactory understanding and plan from your surgeon, I would seek a second opinion with a board-certified surgeon with expertise in facial plastic surgical procedures.
An exam and evaluation is required before a comment can be made but was there a reason to fill you before you had your procedure? Knowing that would help me understand better, the sequence of events you list here. If you haven't healed and your surgeon is not already pulling his/her hair out from this, its time to get a second opinion with a local plastic, facial plastic, or even oculoplastic surgeon to see if there is something else that you can do to resolve this issue.
