Breast lift and correction of inverted nipple at the same time?
Can I do breast lift and correction of inverted nipple at the same time?
While there may be some additional risk to the circulation of the nipple and surrounding areola when these two procedures are combined it is possible to have a breast lift with nipple eversion performed in the same operative session. I would not recommend it all if there is any significant reduction of breast tissue being performed with the lift as I feel this will increase the likelihood of circulatory stress to the nipple - areolar complex.
Absolutely but the technique to evert your nipple could compromise the nipple if the blood supply is iffy after the lift portion of the procedure. Best to ask your chosen surgeon with his/her comfort with doing a nipple eversion procedure at the same time as your lift as the last thing we want to do is to compromise your nipple where it could be lost.
In most cases these 2 procedures can be performed concomitantly. If you need an aggressive breast lift you want to delay the correction of the inverted nipple. The main concern is circulation to the nipple. You do not want to risk nipple necrosis.
