Suggestions for a natural looking breast augmentation
Do you have suggestions for a natural looking breast augmentation? I'm 23, single, no kids. I'm very seriously looking into a breast augmentation. Right now I am a 32 B and would really like to be around a full C or a little bigger. I have throughout my life experienced keloid scarring on my body so I am very concerned with scarring from incisions, and I would also like to naturally nurse my children when the time comes. What breast implants would you suggest with my present concerns that look as NATURAL AS POSSIBLE?
Wow! you have so many concerns, and they are appropriate for someone considering breast augmentation surgery. The goal of breast augmentation surgery is of course to make you larger, but it should never be at the expense of naturalness. To achieve the desired result it is important that the right implant is selected and the design of the operation matches the patient. It is impossible to make these kinds of decisions without examining you in person. As far as the concerns for scarring, it is highly unusual to see thick scars from a breast augmentation . All of your concerns, and more, are best handled during the consultation with a reputable Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. ASAPS can usually provide you with several near your living area.
Yes, there are several suggestions. First, interview experienced board certified surgeons until you feel that your concerns have been heard and questions answered. Review numerous examples of that surgeon's before and after photos. Let the surgeon know what characteristics you find most natural looking and appealing. Choice of surgeon is the most important decision.
Second, resist the temptation to choose large implants, as these often look more artificial. The C-cup size you mentioned is probably a good decision, although you may like larger once you try them on. Third, your surgeon should offer you some way to see for yourself how the implants will look on you (sizers placed in a bra, 3-D imaging). This is not perfect, but important for your decision. Your surgeon should use measurements of your existing breast tissues and chest wall to help determine implants that would fit properly on your chest / body.
Saline implants, Ideal implants or Silicone gel filled implants are all options to discuss.
Let your surgeon look at your existing scars and discuss healing with you.
In my opinion, the type of implant has little to do with producing a natural look to an augmentation. Your examination, your desired result and the surgeon's expertise are the limiting factors. Examination of your current keloids would be paramount to determine if it is prudent to proceed with an augmentation.
