A new nose before starting college...

This happy young woman is 10 months out after her Rhinoplasty. People always ask about the recovery time following a Rhinoplasty. It takes time for the swelling to come down and I always try to share the immediate postop photos from the operating room (OR) with my patients to allow them to have something to look forward to. The OR photos are in the last pic and you can see how SIMILAR they are to the long term results...

75% of the swelling comes down after a month while the rest takes a year to a year and half. To accelerate the swelling resolution, I see patients in the office every 2-3 months for steroid injections to the nose, especially the tip, to further help with recovery time...
