Professional Background

Dr. Horton’s journey in medicine began in Canada, where she earned a Bachelor of Science with Honors and a Master of Science in Molecular Biology and Cancer Research in Kingston, Ontario. She completed her medical degree at the University of Toronto, followed by a five-year competitive Integrated Residency program in Plastic Surgery, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC).

To further specialize, Dr. Horton relocated to San Francisco to complete a Fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery. She has also earned the designation of Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and Diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). Beyond her practice, Dr. Horton contributes to the field as an ABPS Oral Examiner and scientific article Reviewer for the Aesthetic Surgery Journal.
