About Dr Nora F. Nugent, MD
Introduction
Nora Nugent is a fully accredited Consultant Plastic Surgeon based at the award-winning private aesthetic clinic Purity Bridge in Tunbridge Wells. She consults and operates in selected state of the art facilities in Tunbridge Wells and East Grinstead in South East England. She has a specialist interest in aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery particularly of the face and breast. Dr Nugent also performs body contouring and medical aesthetic treatments.

Professional Background
Dr Nugent is in full time aesthetic plastic surgery private practice. She is regularly invited to lecture at UK and international plastic surgery conferences and has several professional articles and book chapters published in the plastic surgery medical literature. Purity Bridge was one of the first Host Centres in the UK for the BAAPS Aesthetic Surgery Mentorship Scheme and offers Mentee places to senior UK plastic surgery trainees.
Currently Nora is a member of the International Editorial Board of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal and a Contributing Editor for Aesthetic Surgery Journal Open Forum. She is Vice President of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and Board Member of BAAPS Support (Past Chair) as well as Secretary of the European Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ESAPS). Nora was President of the Plastic Surgery Section of the Royal Society of Medicine for the 2016-2017 academic year and on the Plastic Surgery Section Council from 2012 to 2020.
Dr Nugent held an NHS Consultant post at the world-renowned Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead for ten years where she was Surgical Tutor overseeing plastic surgery training at the hospital for five years as well as being Clinical Lead for Burns for four years. During this time, she was Chair of the London & South East Burns Network 2021 - 2022 and Deputy Chair 2020 - 2021. She has received Clinical Excellence Awards in recognition of the quality of her service and care at the Queen Victoria Hospital.
Nora has been recognised every year since 2020 in the Top Doctor listings by the prestigious Tatler Beauty & Cosmetic Surgery Guide for her aesthetic plastic surgery skills.

Education & Training
Nora graduated with honours from University College Dublin School of Medicine where she received awards in surgery, pathology and legal medicine, and undertook her specialist plastic surgery training under the auspices of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Nora completed training in plastic surgery involving all areas of aesthetic surgery including prestigious specialist fellowships in North America and Australia. She is certified in all areas of Cosmetic Surgery by the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
