Dr Nugent is in full time aesthetic plastic surgery private practice. She is regularly invited to lecture at UK and international plastic surgery conferences and has several professional articles and book chapters published in the plastic surgery medical literature. Purity Bridge was one of the first Host Centres in the UK for the BAAPS Aesthetic Surgery Mentorship Scheme and offers Mentee places to senior UK plastic surgery trainees.

Currently Nora is a member of the International Editorial Board of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal and a Section Editor and Global Ambassador for Aesthetic Surgery Journal Open Forum. She is President of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and Board Member of BAAPS Support (Past Chair) as well as President of the European Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ESAPS). She chairs the British Standards Institute (BSI) CH/403 Aesthetic Surgery and Aesthetic Non-Surgical Medical Services and is a member of the ISAPS Communication, Branding and Public Relations Committee. Nora was President of the Plastic Surgery Section of the Royal Society of Medicine for the 2016-2017 academic year and on the Plastic Surgery Section Council from 2012 to 2020.

Dr Nugent held an NHS Consultant post at the world-renowned Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead for ten years where she was Surgical Tutor overseeing plastic surgery training at the hospital for five years as well as being Clinical Lead for Burns for four years. During this time, she was Chair of the London & South East Burns Network 2021 - 2022 and Deputy Chair 2020 - 2021. She has received Clinical Excellence Awards in recognition of the quality of her service and care at the Queen Victoria Hospital.

Nora has been recognised every year since 2020 in the Top Doctor listings by the prestigious Tatler Beauty & Cosmetic Surgery Guide for her aesthetic plastic surgery skills.
