Education & Training
Dr. Canales was educated and trained at two of the most prestigious academic institutions in the country: Harvard College and Stanford University. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors at Harvard College in 1978, he then completed his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine in 1982. Dr. Canales was particularly interested in plastic surgery and elected to take on additional surgical training and received a Plastic Surgery Residency at Stanford University Hospital.

Located in the heart of Sonoma County, our facilities include a new, state-of-the-art, 6000 sq. ft. aesthetic surgery center housed in a Mediterranean-style building. Inside, you will find inviting offices and an innovative Medical Spa, to bring you all the latest non-surgical rejuvenation techniques. For your privacy and comfort, our in-house certified surgical suite features two operating rooms and a three-bed recovery suite. Our staff looks forward to meeting all of the women and men who visit us from areas like Napa and Marin for plastic surgery.

We are proud to offer a fully accredited, private operating room for your safety and comfort. The facility has been accredited to the highest standards by a national certifying agency, the American Association for the Accreditation of Surgical Facilities.
Why is a certified facility important?Although some cosmetic procedures are being carried out in facilities that are not certified, we believe that there is no higher goal than patient safety. In order to be certified, our facility had to go through rigorous inspection to make sure that our standards were as high as the national accrediting agency. In addition to complying with all OSHA standards, we also have to comply with strict instrument sterilization standards and we carry state-of-the-art monitoring equipment.
We are committed to protecting your health information. This "Protected Health Information," called "PHI," is protected by law.
