About Jaime Perez, MD
Introduction
Our goal at the Plastic Surgery Center of Tampa is to provide each patient a compassionate, professional, and safe environment where they can feel comfortable discussing and learning about their desired procedures. Dr. Jaime Perez and his expert staff are dedicated to providing reliable patient safety, considerate medical care, and unsurpassed surgical excellence. Professional Background
Dr. Perez focuses his practice on body contouring (i.e. liposuction/liposculpture, abdominoplasty, Brazilin butt lift, fat grafting, etc...), breast surgery (i.e. breast augmentation, breast reduction, and breast lift), face-lifts, facial rejuvenation, and rhinoplasty. He is one of few board-certified plastic surgeons in the area to perform the Brazilian butt lift and other advanced forms of body sculpting like lipoabdominoplasty, lipo-etching, and three-dimensional body sculpting. Dr. Perez is also a leader in endoscopic, minimally invasive, and short-scar techniques using the most precise and advanced instruments available.
Aside from managing his practice in Tampa Bay, Dr. Perez also participates in medical mission trips, performing cleft lip and palate repairs, burn surgery, and hand and lower extremity reconstruction in Rwanda, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and most recently, for the earthquake victims of Haiti. When not working or volunteering, Dr. Perez enjoys boating, skiing, swimming, and traveling with his family and two children.
True to his Venezuelan roots, Dr. Perez has a real passion for life and his profession. He enjoys and appreciates his patients, the art of surgery, and learning.

Education & Training
Born in Venezuela, Dr. Jaime Perez moved to the United States when he was seventeen years old to attend college at Kean University in New Jersey. After receiving his B.S. in Biology, Dr. Perez attended New Jersey Medical School where he received his Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Perez then completed five years of general surgery training before completing his fellowship training in plastic surgery at UMDNJ. There he trained with some of the most well respected plastic surgeons in New York and New Jersey. Dr. Perez came to Florida in 1999 to do an extra year of specialized training in hand and microvascular surgery at the University of South Florida.
