At a young age, Dr. Chiddy always knew medicine held a special place in his heart. Living on a hospital compound in Saudi Arabia during his formative years, he knows this helped plant the seeds of interest in medicine. After returning to the United States, he concurrently attended both high school and the University of Utah. At the University of Utah, he graduated with honors and a bachelor's degree in biology. Before starting medical school, Dr. Chiddy served as a full-time missionary for two years, which enabled him to learn how to read and write in his mother's native language. Once back home, he completed his medical degree at the University of Utah School of Medicine. During this time, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society and served as the president for his class and student body. Following medical school, he attended his six-year plastic and reconstructive surgical residency at Loma Linda Medical Center. He then went on to do a one year orthopedic hand and upper extremity fellowship at University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, prior to moving back to Utah to open up his practice. He started Jerry Chidester MD PLLC in 2020, and then The Plastics Clinic in 2021.
