About Traci Temmen, MD

Education & Training
Dr. Temmen graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Missouri-Columbia. During college she performed organic chemistry research at both the University of Missouri-Columbia and the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology designing cancer-fighting drugs.
Dr. Temmen was then awarded a full-tuition, academic scholarship to attend medical school at the Ivy League University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. While obtaining high honors, she also performed basic science and clinical research on children with craniofacial abnormalities. It was through this experience and working with some of the most prestigious and well-respected female plastic surgeons in the country that Dr. Traci Temmen decided to pursue her career as a plastic surgeon.
Dr. Temmen completed six years of specialized plastic surgery residency training at the University of South Florida before becoming one of the few board-certified, female plastic surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
