What type of butt lift incisions are there?
Butt lift incisions vary according to the procedure your aesthetic surgeon suggests for you.
Standard Butt Lift
Incisions for a butt lift could include a large incision on the top of the buttocks in the back or hidden underneath the buttock by the crease. If liposuction is involved, there will be smaller scars that will fade and be mostly unnoticeable.
Brazilian Butt Lift using Fat Transfer (also known as BBL)
BBL uses liposuction, and those incisions are very small and just large enough to allow the suction tube, or cannula, to go under the skin and remove the fat. The incisions used for injecting the fat into the buttock regions are equally small.
Butt Implants
Typically your surgeon will make an incision in the fold between the buttock "cheeks." Alternative locations are the outer corners of the upper buttock and the bottom in the butt crease.
Will I have any scars after my butt lift?
Butt lift scars vary according to the incisions your aesthetic surgeon makes (as outlined above). Your surgeon can conceal some scars in natural butt contours, but others may be visible on the buttock surface.
Although incision lines are permanent, in most cases, they will fade and significantly improve over time. Aesthetic plastic surgeons make every effort to place incisions in hidden areas and minimize them, with the goal of achieving the desired results with the shortest possible scar. Special tissue handling and suture techniques further minimize scars.
Your incision healing will depend on the surgical technique, the steps you take to prevent infection (nutrition, not smoking, hydrating), and any underlying medical conditions or genetic tendencies.
