What type of brow lift incisions are there?
Your surgeon will provide a recommendation for the incision technique to use during your brow lift procedure. There are a few options for brow lifts.
Endoscopic Technique
The endoscopic technique requires very minimal incisions. Your incisions may include three short incisions along the top of the scalp and a temple incision on each side. These incisions are within your hair.
Open (Coronal) Technique
The surgeon makes an incision across the top of the scalp, typically within your hair, but sometimes the surgeon will make the incision across a deep crease in your forehead.
Limited Incision Technique
For this method, the surgeon will make the incisions in the temporal hairline (temples). If you have a forehead lift and a blepharoplasty, the surgeon will make incisions in the upper eyelid to complete the forehead lift, treating the 'frown' lines between the eyebrows and raising the inside part of the eyebrows.
Will I have any brow lift scars?
Your brow lift will likely result in scars, but they are often where they can be well concealed by your hair or within a deep forehead crease.
