James M. Economides, MD, FACS is an award-winning Board Certified plastic surgeon and cosmetic surgeon at Advanced Plastic Surgery Center in Arlington, Virginia. He is known for providing consistent and natural results for his patients. He specializes in cosmetic surgery of the face, breast, and body. He has a particular interest in mommy makeovers and complex aesthetic breast surgery.

A lifelong resident of the Washington, D.C., area, Dr. Economides earned his bachelor’s degree with honors from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He then completed medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine and the fully integrated plastic surgery residency program at Georgetown University Hospital. During this time he gained additional experience in the field of microsurgery and free flap reconstruction at the world-renowned Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan and hand surgery at the Curtis National Hand Center in Baltimore, MD.

Dr. Economides is an active contributor to the advancement of the field of plastic surgery. He regularly shares his knowledge presenting at national and international conferences, reviewing scholarly articles for scientific publications, and writing dozens of scholarly articles and textbook chapters.
